Reflecting back on my last spring semester at FIU

This semester took an unexpected turn and I can’t say I’m not a little upset. I was very much looking forward to this class and having YOU as a professor. Because I was looking forward to this class and finally getting to be on camera and shoot my own feature reports i’m a little upset. But it is what it is… I was a little worried learning these new adobe programs but you professor have made it so easy. I felt very stress free because I knew I could always come to you for help. This has been the best class out of all the classes I’ve taken here at FIU. You have been so great professor, thank you for teaching me so much in such a short amount of time… don’t be surprised if I ever come back for advice or help with adobe programs because you really know what you’re talking about! I hope you have a great summer and make the best out of these circumstances! See you in the capstone…. Here’s to being almost done with my undergraduate career!!

What has been getting me through this tough time…

Hello hello, I know we are all going through a tough time right now and cabin fever is a real thing!!! I have changed my mindset towards being home 24/7 and have decided I am not going to let it stress me out anymore or upset me instead I am going to channel all my negative energy into something positive which for me is SELF CARE. Usually I spend my weeks at school or in extracurricular activities that are also in school I realized I never truly have time for self care… and I mean real self care like sleeping a full 8hrs, or having time to put a hair mask or face mask on. Self care is very important and people often ignore it, or don’t have the time. Not having time is not an excuse anymore. I have made a list of things I’ve been doing to get me through this tough time… Enjoys (:

  1. Reading… reading for enjoyment is something I love to do! Romance novels are my favorite!
  2. Listening to a Podcast while I take a walk around my neighborhood… Walking has been super calming for me lately.
  3. At home workouts have been a daily thing for me wether its an hour or a 30 minute workout I make sure to get a workout in everyday to keep my body moving.
  4. Tik Tok… Learning tik tok dances has become a guilty pleasure of mine
  5. Cooking dinner or baking something
  6. sleeping a FULL 8 hours
  7. I have been avoiding netflixing all day so I only watch TV when the day is done and I’m already in bed
  8. FAMILY TIME!!!! love playing games and spending time with my family

Social Distancing Week 3

Let me just start off by saying I will never take my friends, family, boyfriend, and going out for granted EVER AGAIN! not being able to see my friends, family, and boyfriend have been extremely tough. I promise to never say no to plans again… when this is over I will not take living life for granted. My family has been taking this situation very seriously as others should. I am not allowed to have anyone over friends nor family and I am not allowed to attend any “Quarantine parties.” when I see people at their friends houses or with their significant others(If they do not live together) it just gets me upset. The fact that people are being selfish and not following rules that were put into place only to help us and end this virus sooner! I feel that everyone should take this situation seriously and STAY HOME! till next week xoxo

Social Distancing Week 2

I just want to start off by saying that with all that is going on in the world I am trying my best to keep a positive mindset and doing part by social distancing. I never realized how much I would miss my everyday routine of driving 45 minutes to class and being around my classmates. I used to always want to stay home and I considered myself a homebody but after all of this I realized you can not always be stuck home… It is driving me crazy! But something that has helped me is making a routine for myself… I have started to wake up earlier cook breakfast then get a workout in then dome school work or read a book instead of just sitting in bed watching netflix… I save the netflix for the end of the day before bed! It is just crazy to me that this is going on in our world the scariest part is we do not know when it is going to end! I adjust hoping for the best and praying it will pass soon!

Quarentine and Chill?

All that everyone is talking about right now is the COVID-19, it would only be right if I shared my opinion or how I’m feeling about this whole situation. I honestly feel like its stopping my life… oh wait because it is. I was honestly so excited to take this Multimedia class and finally qeinfront of the camera, learn how to edit with adobe programs, and be more interactive in the classroom and not just writing papers and doing discussions!!! I also don’t like being home 25/7!! I am going crazy I am not one of those people who could just sit home and watch netflix and I need interaction lol I need activities!!!! At first i thought this was great I could just chill but then I realized i could only “Just chill” fo so long!! People really need to practice social distancing to make this problem smaller so we could get back to our regular everyday lives!! Okay that’s it I’m done with my rant lol!
